Chattanooga Itineraries
Walk across the Walnut Street Bridge, the world’s longest pedestrian bridge. You can park on either side, but I like to park on the south end. Walk to the North Shore and explore the shops and restaurants there. You can extend your walk through Coolidge Park and see the fountains and carousel. Rides on the carousel only cost $1 per person. After spending some time on the North Shore, walk back across the bridge to your car.
Rent a bike and ride down part of the 13 mile path that follows the Tennessee River. You can park at the south end parking lot, rent the city bikes for about $8 per person, and then ride downtown. You can ride through downtown on bikes, or park the bikes and walk to some shops or restaurants. Take Uber back to your car if you don’t feel like riding back or enjoy the cruise along the river back to your car.
Rent a Stand Up Paddle Board from L2 Outside and paddle on the Tennessee River. Stand Up Paddle Boards are $25/1HR, $10 per additional rental hour. See L2outside.com for all the details.
