House Information

Main Floor Kitchen

The kitchen is fully functional and ready for you to cook meals.

• The house is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer with icemaker, cooktop, oven, built-in microwave, a coffee machine, and a dishwasher. The kitchen cabinets boast measuring cups, cutting boards, knives, pots and pans, cooking sheets, strainers, all sorts of dishes and a tea kettle. We keep the kitchen stocked with cooking oil, salt and pepper, and several spices.

• The top drawers in the kitchen contain a hidden drawer with utensils, ziploc bags, pot holders, dish towels, etc. Be sure to poke around!

• A propane grill is on the deck. Grilling tools are in a top hidden drawer in the kitchen, to the left of the sink.

• A Brita filter is in the fridge for cold, filtered water.

• We provide coffee, cream, sugar and sugar substitute for your stay.

• Mrs. Meyer's hand soap and Dawn dish soap are provided in refillable containers.

• Cleaning supplies and a fire extinguisher are under the sink should you need them. Extra “old” towels are under the kitchen sink or the entry closet for big spills or muddy paws.

• Please use one of the two trash bins in the kitchen as recycling. (Paper, plastic and tin cans. Please place glass on the kitchen counter to be taken to the recycling center separately.) The large blue bin at the bottom of the driveway for recycling. The green bin is for garbage.

Laundry

The washing machine and dryer are in the closet on the main floor. We provide laundry detergent, stain remover, an iron, and table top ironing board. Please don’t iron directly on our tables or counters!

Bathrooms

To lessen our footprint, we provide Ginger Lily Farms Morocco Argan Oil body wash, shampoo and conditioner and Mrs. Meyer's hand soap in refillable containers. To save our white towels, please use the black make up clothes for make up removal. Extra toilet paper is available in each bathroom vanity. Extra towels are available in the blue bedroom closet.

Beds

There are more pillows and lots of extra bedding are in the closet in the blue room or the King Suite closet. Clean sheets for the sofa bed are in the closet in the blue room. An additional set of sheets is in the bottom drawer of the wood chest of drawers in the King Suite.

Outdoor Spaces

We have a fire pit on the ground level with Adirondack chairs and blankets in the entry hall closet. In cooler weather, wood is stacked below the deck. There is a lighter in the main floor kitchen drawers. The upstairs deck offers a grill, lounge seating and outdoor dining. The deck at the loft level has a view over St Elmo’s rooftops and down to Chattanooga Valley in Georgia.

Pets

Dogs are not to be left alone in the house unless crated. Please pick up pet waste and dispose of it. An extra water bowl and food bowl are under the kitchen sink on the main floor. Please note that stains or damages to linens, furniture or the house will result in extra charges. Pet stain remover is in the laundry room on the main floor and downstairs under the kitchenette sink. And, there are a few “old” towels in the entry hall closet and under the kitchen sink for dirty paws or feet!

Parking

There are three parking spaces right in front of the house (and an EV charger). Please do not park on the driveway as it is shared and the only access for our house.

Heating and Air Conditioning

The King Suite has its own temperature controls and uses a remote control. The sun icon indicates heat and the snowflake icon indicates AC. The main floor and loft share one system that is located in the loft. The thermostat is located at the top of the first set of stairs. Tap the screen, then tap MODE. Choose HEAT or COOL. Set the temperature and fan speed to your preference. We use the ceiling fans in both the winter and the summer to help circulate the conditioned air. But you can turn them off if it’s too much!

No Smoking

There is no smoking on our property.

Quiet hours are between 9pm to 8am. We appreciate you for respecting this time.
